Jerry E. Cowherd of Greensburg, KY represents the Third Supreme Court District. He is a retired educator/coach and business owner. He is a graduate of Campbellsville College and Western KY University.
He is married to the former Mary K. Murrell and they have two children and two grandchildren.
At the present time he is a member of the Greensburg City Council since 1998. Also, he is a member of the African American Heritage Commission, President of the Greensburg/Green County League of Citizens Foundation, a member of the Greensburg/Green County Chamber of Commerce and member of the KY Black Caucus of Elected Officials. He has served on a number of advisory boards, committees and board of directors over the years.
He is a member of Jacob Grove Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon and church treasurer. Also, he is member of Gideon International as the Faith Fund Coordinator. He is the owner and operator of the family farm since 2001.
