Anne Chaney



For nearly 30 years, Anne has been committed to helping create economic opportunity for historically disenfranchised and under-resourced groups, including women,​ persons of color, and the differently-abled. She is president of Impetus Consulting and provides strategic guidance, financial structuring, and prepares capital requests for Community Development Finance Institutions and other nonprofits nationally that are committed to inclusive, equitable economic opportunity. 


She previously served as director of program development for Community Ventures, a statewide nonprofit CDFI in Kentucky, and also led the Commonwealth of Kentucky's $30 million+ Neighborhood Stabilization Program at the Department for Local Government. 


​A UK alumnus, she has also served as a subject matter expert on various HUD-funded programs including the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, Neighborhood Stabilization Program, and Community Development Block Grant program. She is a nationally certified housing economic development finance professional and economic development finance professional through the National Development Council.​​​​​

Anne and her spouse, Angela, live on a farm in Washington County, where Anne creates pottery in her spare time and helps herd goats, three dogs, and four cats.
