The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights mourns the death of Kentucky Human Rights Commissioner Carol L. Jackson of Ashland, Ky. She represented the 7th Supreme Court District on the commission board. She died on March 10, 2018.
"Kentucky has lost one of its true champions of equality," said Executive Director John J. Johnson. "
Mrs. Jackson served the commission from October 2013 until her death. One year before her appointment, she was inducted into the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame for her work to improve the lives of people in many capactities, including her service in several organizations.
