Dr. Clark-Sarr is a Mississippi native but grew up in Paducah. She received a bachelor’s degree in marketing and two master’s degrees from Murray State University in public administration and organizational communication as well as a Ph.D. in urban higher education from Jackson State University. She has been the director of Murray State’s Adventures in Math and Science program since 2000.
Adventures in Math and Science is a federally funded educational program for high school students. Each year, approximately 100 students from the area participate in a six-week residential program on Murray State’s campus. AIMS offers college credit through MSU as well as financial aid counseling and ACT workshops.
